1 Month Already
Photo Album: 1 Month Old
Crazy how time flies but 1 month has already gone by for Baby. Here are some things we have learned about her in that time. She loves to look at Dad's goatee, she enjoys Big Sister reading to her, and when Big Brother feeds her. She does not like to sleep by herself - Mom is the best pillow though Uncle Jon comes in close second. Somethings that we will always remember from this month are when she pooped in the middle of a diaper change while her legs were lifted and covered the wall and window in her room, how she throw up and projected it 3 feet away while Dad was carrying her down the hallway, and how loudly she snorted when hungry and gulped while eating. Of course we will always be amazed how perfectly beautiful she was when she was born and what a good baby she was from the very first. Yes, there were a couple of late nights that Mom and Dad felt for days after and there were some days Mom wondered what she was thinking getting into the baby busy again. But seeing Baby cuddled in our arms, watching her learn and grow, and hearing her precious coos of contentment has been worth every minute of any fussy hour and long night.
Tooth Fairy
Big Sister had a visit from the tooth fairy! She lost a tooth this week and didn't even need Dad's help to get it out. Great job! She has another one that is ready to come out too. Stay tuned!
Driving Around Town
Watch out all, there's a new driver in town! Big Brother has passed his permit test recently and completed his first session with the driving instructor. Congrats! Now Dad gets to sit in the passenger seat as Brother takes the wheel.
Out and About
This last week Baby made her first public appearances! She has shared dinner with her cousins at an Italian restaurant and lunch with Mom and Dad at a Mexican restaurant, but she just slept through that one. Baby went on a walk with Mom, Dad, and Big Sister in the neighborhood, it put her right to sleep. She attended church for the first time and made it through all three hours! She has also picked up Big Brother and Sister from school. Her latest appearance was at stores Babies R' Us and Best Buy where she did a good number on Dad's wallet. Big Sister did a great job pushing the stroller. Mom and Dad are learning how to juggle getting Baby in and out of cars and changing diapers in public restrooms again. The whole family has enjoyed showing off Baby!

Me and Grandma Bajada
Photo Album: Meeting Grandma and Grandpa
Baby was able to meet her Grandma and Grandpa Bajada this weekend! She was sleeping hard for the first hour or so but then she woke up and gave us a great show. Baby was spoiled from the get go as Grandma held her while she was sleeping, brought gifts, and cuddled her while Baby made faces and showed off her blue eyes.
Up and At'em
Baby is starting to sleep pretty well during the night. She goes down around 9 - 10pm, gets up at 2am, and then again at 6am. This gives her plenty of energy to have play time during the day. Big sister helps her figure out what all of the toys are for. Check her out!

2 Weeks Old
Photo Album: 2 Weeks Old
Baby is now 2 weeks old! Mom is starting to run on fumes as her sleep reserves get lower every day. Dad is now trying to catch up with work after helping Mom out all the time. Mainly though we are loving watching each day as Baby grows. She is trying to lift her head and her appetite gets bigger day by day. Big Brother and Sister are learning how to change diapers and put up with crying Baby during dinner as Mom and Dad get into a solid routine. We love listening to Baby snort and make all her silly faces. Baby enjoys looking at the fans and lights in the house and is starting to really follow our faces when we hold her. It's amazing how fast they develop!

Baby's 1st bath
Dad is such a great helper! He changed every diaper for the 1st two days at least and every poopy diaper for the first several. He loves to see her in cute clothes and really gets a kick out of her sounds and faces. His favorite is when she makes o's with her mouth while she fights a yawn and he melts every time she makes a smiley face in her sleep. He called giving her her first bath long before she was born. Mom had no idea he was so great with babies! He is a natural. Check out the proud papa. Video coming soon!
Meeting for the First Time
Baby's big brother and sister were away while she was born. Sister visited the day after and then went away to visit more family while Mom and Dad brought baby home. Big brother stayed connected through the birth and was really looking forward to meeting his new little sister. Finally we all came together as a family for the first time. Both big sister and big brother held Baby and laughed at all the noise she made and were amazed at how small and soft she was. Neither one were too interested in changing her (of course) but both were willing to learn to burp her and watch her as she wiggled and squirmed. Grandma Bajada got the girls matching shirts that say "I'm the big sister" and "I'm the little sister". Big sister was tickled pink!

All Nighter
Second night home and Baby decided she wanted to be held all night. Mom let Dad sleep and took night duty rocking and walking Baby to sleep and feeding and feeding, oh did I mention feeding, her until an hour before it was time to get up for the day. Dad take over so Mom could get a few zzz's in. Then we all went to Baby's first doctors appointment. She was proclaimed healthy and amazingly gaining weight! Dad was a proud papa. We have started adjusting to our new addition by rearranging furniture and getting use to regular feeding cycles. Baby loves getting her picture taken and had her nails done today. (They were super long!) Mom is looking forward to another night but hoping that now that her milk has come in, Baby will sleep a little better.

She's here!
We welcomed our new baby girl into the world at 10:24pm 10/30/08. She did not want to come but finally relented. She is a big girl, arrived 8pds and 13.4oz! She eats like a pro and isn't fussy in the least. Proud mom and dad made it through the hospital stay and are VERY happy to be home. Daddy is the "burrito man" as he is expert in wrapping Baby up snug in her blankets. Mommy is a trooper and is recovering remarkably fast. Little Miss was able to meet her new sister in the hospital and loves feeling her baby sister's soft skin. But of course what you all really want is PICTURES! So coming soon are a few shots of Baby's first days.
