In Loving Memory
This last month has been a hard one for the family cat, Roo. She has been in a lot of pain and not acting herself. The doctors have tried to help but without surgery there isn't a lot they could do. The hard decision was made to let her go.
Roo has been a member of the family since 1993. She was chosen from all the other kittens because of her amazingly loud purring. (Dad is a big sucker for things like that.) Dad named her Roo because she would bound another the room like a kangaroo! When Mom met her she was pretty much running the house. Even though she had her own cat door, she would get the boys to open the people doors for her. She loved turkey and would always demand some fish any time we opened a can of tuna or had salmon for dinner. Roo's favorite places to spend her lounging hours (which were most of the hours in the day) included Brother's and Dad's beds or in Dad's office. She was notorious for jumping into Dad's chair if he got up even for two seconds! Even though she wasn't a real affectionate cat, it made the times she wanted your attention even more special. The video here is of her right before she got real sick. As you can see she adorable even after 15 years.
