Visit to Colorado

Kylie went on her first plane ride! Grandma Root came with me and the girls to visit our family in Colorado. It had been 10 years since I had been there last. We saw Grandma Harrison, my mom's sister, Aunt Jill, her three kids, Richie, Robbie, and Chrissa, and my other grandparents, Grandpa Harrison and Gail.
The airport and plane ride were a first for me and we barely made the plane! But thankfully I have such great kids, it all went well. I was so glad my mom was with me to give a hand with everything. Grandma and Aunt Jill were there at the airport to greet us. We drove to Grandma's home in Aurora and settled in.

The next day we went and played at a park. It was great! The weather was perfect, especially after putting up with over 100 degrees in Roseville. There was a adorable train and petting zoo as well as a stream running through the park. We picnicked and enjoyed the attractions.

That evening Grandma cooked her famous fried chicken dinner with homemade biscuits and jam. I lost track of how many I had, they were so good! My cousins came over and then, John and his family showed up! We had a great time.

The next day we met up with Grandpa Harrsion and Gail at the same park. Richie, his girlfriend Carrie, John's family, and Chrissa came with Aunt Jill, my mom and Natalie and I. We had another great picnic and stayed for hours visiting and enjoying the park.

That night we had round two of visiting, eating, and playing games at Grandma Harrison's. It was so much fun! We were so happy to celebrate Grandma's birthday with her. She is so wonderful. I really loved going and visiting her at her home. It was the first time I was there and I was so happy to see that she lives in such a beautiful place. She is such an amazing woman, what a great person to live up to.

The next day we had to headed home. The girls were great on the plane and we all made it safely. Kylie was so excited to see Dad and Stephen again. She is such a sweetie.
