Again, I haven't been good a taking photos. I really don't like the new camera we have but I will try harder to work with it.
I LOVE having schedules. Now that we are getting back to school I can make schedules for almost everything. School is in session for both the kids and I am enrolled full-time at Delta. Thankfully, Karl is still working from home and two of my classes are in the evenings so Kylie is still able to stay at home and we have lots of time for fun. Natalie is in 3rd grade this year. She is in the same class as her best friend and really likes her teacher because the teacher is funny. I like her teacher too. Stephen is a senior this year and since he is still working part-time, he is only going half day at school. He is trying to decide what to do after high school, probably a local Jr. College until he gets more ambitious. I'm looking to start arranging regular play dates for Kylie so she can work on her social skills.
Karl is looking for new employment this fall. We are hoping for something around Pleasanton, but even San Jose is an option right now. He has really enjoyed being at home so close to Kylie but we know it is time for him to get back into an office with co-workers.
In the midst of new beginnings, we have tried to start some new family habitats. Weekly family game night has been fun. Daily trips to the neighborhood park in the evening is a favorite of the girls. Weekly house cleaning as a family is new and when everyone helps is a favorite of mine. Budgeting and calorie counting is new for Karl and I with lots of potential. Nightly scripture reading has been a fun conversation generator for Natalie and I. Nursery is new on Sunday for Kylie and has been really tough for all of us. (Hopefully regular play dates will help in that department.)
I love fall. Routines and schedules, cooling weather and holiday planning. What could be better! I'm getting all geared up for Halloween. I can't wait to bake up yummy spooky treats and invent interesting costumes for the kids. I hope we get to decorate this year! I wish so many more of our family and friends lived closer so I could have everyone over after treat-or-treating for a big monster bash!
