Grandparents!

One of the most exciting things going on during September was the visit of my grandparents.  My mother's parents are divorced but it just so happened that both of them came to visit within a week of one another.

I had been trying to get my grandmother to come out for months so I was very excited that she was able to make it but sad that I only saw her for a few hours.  Everyone in California was invited to come out so we were able to get almost all of siblings there.  We meet at a park near my mom's place in Concord and had a picnic.

I didn't get enough photos!  Leah's family was there and others that I didn't get a chance to photograph.  I have to start remembering that I'm the only one usually taking the pics!

The next week my Grandpa Harrison came to visit.  His visit was more of a surprise.  I was very concerned because the week before he came, he was in an accident where he was missing for almost 24hours.  He had gone hiking to take photos on a mountain, fallen down and was unable to get help.  By 10pm was wife finally called for help and rescuers found him later that night and took him to the hospital.  It was very scary.  During his stay during the hospital he was diagnosed with Alzheimers.  This has been very hard for him to except so during his staying we tried to be very supportive.  It was so fun to also see my Uncle Richard during my grandpa's stay.  Again, we were only able to visit for a few hours but it was still nice.
