Reaching and Rolling
Kylie is almost three months. She went to the doctor's for her 2 month check up and to get her immunization shots last week. The doc said she is doing great. Stats: 14lbs and 24 inches. She is definitely a big girl, 80% percentile for height, weight, and head size.
Every week Kylie gets noticably more coordinated and vocal. She loves to talk and listen to us talk back to her. When she is crying and we call out to her she will stop crying and start to smile or start talking. She really loves Natalie. Anytime Natalie gets in the car or is visible, Kylie is watching and smiling at her. Natalie really like that and always wants to be where the baby is. Natalie enjoys reading all her books to Kylie and Kylie just eats it up.
We have found that she already enjoys watching TV! Not that we are encouraging that but it is pretty amusing to see her craning her neck to watch and stay entertained for long periods of time. She is really starting to grab on to her toys and put them in her mouth. Sometimes its a competition between her fingers and a toy or burp cloth.
Kylie has even started to roll. She has only gotten onto her side though, not quite all the way over. When she is on her back and gets excited she will kick her legs in the air and starts to turn to her right. We have put her on the floor and watched her turn 45 degrees. Before long she will be all over the place! I have to admit that I am enjoying this time before she gets too mobile. I know she is going to be such a handful.
